C. Lewis is a Chinese artist who was born in 1963, and whose given name is Chen Tai-yu. C. Lewis (Chen) felt the need to adopt a pseudonym that would create a more universal interest in his work.
From 1982 to 1985, Lewis studied at the National Central Fine Art Institute in Guangdong. After his graduation, C. Lewis started his career as a professional artist. He is currently holding an associate membership at the National Chinese Artist Association. Paintings by C. Lewis have won national acclaim. His works can be found in many corporate and private collections around the world.
